Technical Writer

You will be working closely with the design team to create and/or update HTML Help documentation using Adobe RoboHelp. You will also be helping to produce training materials for end users as well as new employees. Must have proven technical writing experience in a software development environment. This is a 6 month to 1 year assignment, possibly with a contract to hire after 1 year.

Requirements:

3-5 years experience in producing technical documentation for high technology products. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with attention to detail. Ability to work closely with the design team to capture all features and operational characteristics of the product. Ability to become an expert user and determine where end users will need the most information. Capacity to structure and produce accessible and accurate user guides/training materials. Knowledgeable and accomplished with creating and integrating graphic elements (i.e. screen captures) into technical documents.

Experience with the following software applications (minimum):

Adobe RoboHelp, Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or similar graphics software Microsoft Visio

VB Interface Developer

This full-time position primarily involves support and development of interfaces to various hospital systems through HL7 protocol and other custom formats. The development platform that will be used is Microsoft Visual Basic 6.

Requirements:

Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience developing client-server database applications using VB6 and ADO. Applicant must be familiar with Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005, have a solid understanding of database design and Transact-SQL, and must be able to create complex queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, etc. Having worked in the healthcare field is a plus, especially experience with HL7 and electronic medical records applications. Experience with Crystal Reports is also desirable.
